They said it would snow today! They lied. Bastards. I wanted snow, and they got my hopes up but failed to deliver! Even this morning they were saying there would be snow! But none came, and now I feel let down.
I prefer Jeremy Paxman's weather forecasts anyway:

In The Summertime
It has finally been a nice summer's day - just as summer is coming to an end. But at least it fell on a Bank Holiday so that as many people as possible can enjoy one of the few days of summer we in Britain get! I envy you in Sicily, Welshcakes!
But it's summertime and the weather is fine...

It's Raining, It's Pouring
... the old man is snoring ...
And Britain is having a wet summer, as always:
Britain is on course for the wettest summer on record, forecasters say.
Since the start of June, 313mm of rain has fallen. According to the Met Office it could only take a few more showers between now and the end of the month to break the record, 329mm set in 1927.
Although the weekend is set to be dry, forecasters believe this will only be a respite, and there are growing fears of a repetition of the flooding which left thousands of homes underwater this year...
Meanwhile, with just nine days of summer left, the sun is due to make a guest appearance this weekend with temperatures reaching up to 77F (25C). (The Telegraph)

This can't be blamed on climate change, but just the one we've always had. After all, they were blaming the drought orders earlier in the year on that, so surely it can't be the cause of both too little and too much water! The mantra "climate change" does not explain all, or even necessarily any, odd weather. We've always had droughts and floods in Britain and we always will. We don't control the weather!
At least one good thing comes out of all the rain, though - it gives us a real reason to talk about the weather! So, of course, we might as well just go singing in the rain!

Apparently our summer has been and gone."The hottest day of the year, with temperatures reaching 30.3C in London on Sunday, was followed at the other end of the country by yet another emergency caused by torrential rain.The only upside I can see is that we shouldn't run out of ice creams, which was a possibility earlier due to the floods. Apart from that, it's all bad. Damn weather!
And after one of the wettest summers on record, forecasters issued the gloomy prediction that the hottest weather of 2007 may have come and gone.
Temperatures have taken a decisive tumble and are expected to struggle to stay in the low-20s Celsius for the remainder of the week." (The Telegraph)
