Apparently one in 14 adults could not answer the maths question above correctly - and it is aimed at eight year-olds. This is not good. It took me about 30 seconds or so to get the answer, most of which was taken getting my head in to maths mode. Some undoubtedly got the question wrong because they are too reliant on calculators, and some people just don't have a head for numbers, but for one in fourteen [about 7%] to get it wrong is worrying.
The answer is b) 4.
